Caring with Compassion Community ("CwCC") offers safe support and a fellowship of peers to Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), as well as underserved individuals who have experienced trauma, and/or have emotional, mental, or physical disabilities. Leveraging our collective lived experience, we provide those who find it most difficult to function in our society with a voice and personalized support when they're needed most, lifting all boats.
With a focus on physical safety and mental health, our people and services support everyone's potential, recognizing and building on their strengths, and "walking the walk" of our shared purpose.

Core Services: Foundation Community Supports
Our diverse team of Certified Peer Counselors, trained volunteers with lived experiences navigating systems of care, provides person-centered services with a trauma- informed approach. Instead of preaching or prescribing solutions, we help those in need find and implement their own best path.
Our Core Program Services include Crisis Intervention, Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, Medical Advocacy, and Emergency Financial Assistance Services (EFA). CwCC supports our community's most vulnerable, people who need support navigating society's complex resources and systems to build a better life.

Legal Advocacy
Asserting individual choices and rights often creates very difficult tradeoffs. CwCC helps identify resources for ensuring the most just and humane resolution possible.
Crisis Intervention
We assess immediate needs, faciliate emotional stabilization, and connect our community members with appropriate resources and referrals. In a crisis, we are a "one-stop shop" to help determine next steps.

Information &
Referrals
Trauma calls for a "safety-first" lens. First and foremost, we seek to actively reduce harms. Our navigators' combined lived experience enables us to respond and communicate with genuine empathy, which is also the foundation on which our curriculum is built.
Medical
Advocacy
Physical, mental, and emotional health are the cornerstones of behavioral change. We provide support in obtaining medically and culturally appropriate care, while encouraging healthy habits and addressing potential barriers to care.
Recovery ResidencesCaring With Compassion Community Home™ is a network of Level 2- funded Monitored Peer Run Transitional Homes, funded through the Washington State Department of Commerce and accredited by Washington Alliance for Quality Residences (WAQRR).
In a warm, welcoming setting, a house manager supports residents and implements policies, procedures, and covenant house rules. Structure, peer-run groups, drug screening, and house meetings support resident involvement in self-help and/or treatment services. This integration of structure, learning, and empathy encourages personal growth, sound decisions, and accountability to others. CwCCH's community residences span single-family residences, apartments, and shared housing, each with full-time staff. |

Our Home Recovery Mission
In a safe residential environment, we support our community members' health and wellness through collaborations with "best of breed" resources, that we can help put into context from our own lived experiences.
Health Wellness Empowerment:
Peer Programs & Initiatives
CwCC is a peer-to-peer community organization of individuals who have experienced trauma, life with mental illness, substance abuse, chronic health conditions, disabilities, and barriers to recovery and wellness.
In addition to the clinical aspects of peer mentorship, our curriculum spans holistic healing, employment, and entrepreneurship, which in turn drive economic community development and personal financial empowerment. We support the best lives of community members, clinical peers, and our staff, while acknowledging and seeking to mitigate the impact of disabilities, lived experiences, and trauma.
- For community members, CwCC provides group and individual support, from temporary housing to referrals to resources that facilitate self-awareness, self-efficacy, and social engagement.
- For potential peer navigators or assistants with the lived experience to implement our model of care, CwCC provides training to build employability in a key role and the ability to contribute at CwCC or elsewhere.
- For social services and counseling peers, we offer educational programs around navigating systems of care.
